TH1RTEEN R3ASONS WHY.
Such an awesome read that I finished it within a few hours, and god knows how long have I been able to have the time to do that.
The story is basically about a girl named Hannah Baker who commited suicide. Before this, she actually made a set of tapes explaining the 13 reasons on why she decided to end her life when it just began in a new town.
Her crush and classmate, Clay, apparently also received the set of tapes from her, meaning, he's one of the 13 reasons. If he listens, he will find out why.
A map that she has carefully placed in each of their lockers weeks before her death also was part of the part. Using the map, Clay actually spends one night crisscrossing the town to specially located spots in the town where each of the events which Hannah described took place. As he listened to each of the tapes, he begins to realise the dark truth and all the signs that he has been oblivious about- the truth which he never wanted to know.
All in all, this is just one eerie book, imagine listening to the voice of your friend who died, talking, remorsing, explaining with vehemence about the people who cause her to spiral into a bottomless abyss of depression. Or worse, receiving those tapes, knowing that you have been one of the 13 reasons on why your friend decides to end her life.
creepy eh?
